Deaf Tonics - Ultimate Obsession
The third single off of the Deaf Tonics' yet to be released second album, Digital Genocide. Stoner/hard rock. What if the band was successful and getting stalked by an obsessive fan? This song envisions that concept.

Slow Leak - Not Broken (Deaf Tonics cover)
Modern trip hop wizards Slow Leak release Not Broken, a cover of the Deaf Tonics' timeless closing ballad from their first album, Octane Red.Frontwoman Ava Hart calls it a “simmering and brooding homage to the ones who built the fire,” paying tribute to their labelmates and longtime friends, the Deaf Tonics. Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, Slow Leak keeps this version faithful to the original structure and emotion, but filters it through their signature downtempo haze and Portishead-style melancholy — think trip-hop drums, whispery vocals from Ava Hart, and a late-night pulse. It sort of turns into dark polka during the solo..lol. It’s both familiar and fresh — you can tell they approached it with respect rather than nostalgia. Here's the original, posted here as well: https://mixtape.community/forum/c/feedback/t/not-broken In stores now and on streaming platforms.

Deaf Tonics - Take it Up the Rear for UMG
I don't really care about quality here, but the Deaf Tonics have broken their silence on the controversy.

It's all over......
Well folks, I wanted to share my developing, almost finished new album for you, but it looks like the party is over at Udio. The company has destroyed itself and now disallows downloads of the music I've spent weeks generating. Suno is trash, so I'm opting out and returning to real music. It was fun while it lasted. RIP.

Slow Leak - Walking on Air
Slow Leak is a downtempo/trip-hop electronica group that channels the sound of late 90s, early 20s music of the genre. The recording trio features the vocals of redheaded vixen Ava Hart, DJ mixing master Jason Dorsey, and keyboard/synth wizard Brandon Hardy. Slow Leak delivers lighter fare on this track from the debut, with a whimsical look at nostalgia from Ava's innocent past. It contrasts nicely with some the darker themes of heartbreak, revenge and pain on the rest of the album.

Slow Leak - Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire
Slow Leak is a downtempo/trip-hop electronica group that channels the sound of late 90s, early 20s music of the genre. The recording trio features the vocals of redheaded vixen Ava Hart, DJ mixing master Jason Dorsey, and keyboard/synth wizard Brandon Hardy.Slow Leak goes edgy electropop with this deep cut from the debut. It mixes pulsing bass, icy synth lines, and a venom-laced vocal delivery that calls out betrayal without mercy. This isn’t a breakup ballad — it’s a showdown. Every verse drips with tension, every chorus hits like a spark to gasoline. It’s about lies exposed, masks torn off, and who knows what the revenge is.

Slow Leak - I Bleed
Slow Leak is a downtempo/trip-hop electronica group that channels the sound of late 90s, early 20s music of the genre. The recording trio features the vocals of redheaded vixen Ava Hart, DJ mixing master Jason Dorsey, and keyboard/synth wizard Brandon Hardy. In the wake of this previous dark, divisive week for our country (here in the US anyway), Slow Leak feels it's appropriate to select the tone of it's album closer, I Bleed, to present this week on the Billboard. It's a stripped-back ballad that highlights heartbreak, loss, and the weight of loss of humanity. Gentle piano and the voice of Ava carries the song while the lyrics reflect on love that turned cold and the pain it leaves behind. It’s quiet, raw, and honest — the kind of song that lingers after the music fades.

Deaf Tonics - Last Chance at Dawn
Deaf Tonics is a Detroit American four piece stoner rock band. The band often evokes sardonic lyrics and aggressive riffs to get your blood going. The quartet consists of macho lead vocalist/guitarist Sid Sharpe, chain smoking lead guitarist Jack Hawkins, bad girl bassist Sasha Bernhart, and Cuban drummer Manny Ortagus. The Deaf Tonics return swinging hard with the second single off of the upcoming Digital Genocide album that bleeds grit and vengeance. Last Chance at Dawn is a high-noon showdown wrapped in pounding riffs, snarling vocals, and a fight-to-the-finish attitude. This is the sound of no turning back — a brutal rock anthem about betrayal, payback, and facing the final reckoning when the sun rises. Proud of this one. Features Manny on the lead vocals. The official single release includes the b-side track Fumbler.

It's fun, dancey and playful with nice downtempo vibes.

Deaf Tonics - Kick Your Ass
The Deaf Tonics just keep kicking your ass with this official lead single off of their upcoming sophomore stoner rock album, Digital Genocide. This is the band's official big middle finger to the mainstream and pop culture. It's ironically a virtual band preaching about being authentic. The official Spotify single includes the sarcastic testosterone loaded b-side, Bad Guy Coming Through. Check that one out too! The Deaf Tonics also plan to release their first music video to accompany this one soon!

Deaf Tonics - Made Man
If there's one Deaf Tonics song to own them all, it would be Made Man, the second official single off of Octane Red. It's hard and slaps, evoking the sardonic imagery of cinematic gangster tropes. It's the band's personal favorite and has been the closer at every Deaf Tonics show since inception.

Deaf Tonics - Cat's Surrender
During my time managing the Deaf Tonics in their early shows, my late cat Pepe became the band's lovable mascot. We even brought him along to give the band good luck backstage. The band wrote this furball anthem, and what started as a joke about how Pepe stole some chicken backstage and the band yelled "Pepe, surrender!" somehow made it's way onto the Octane Red album, on bassist Sasha's insistence. She wanted it to be a single too, but I convinced the band better of it. It nevertheless is a concert favorite and staple.Sadly, Pepe passed away to cancer last year, but he lives on in the Deaf Tonics' canon.

Deaf Tonics - Big Shot Money
The Deaf Tonics scored their first mildly successful hit with Big Shot Money, the third official single off of Octane Red, currently with 2.3K listens on Soundcloud, half a year after its release. Funny enough, the band sort of disowns this one in live performances, being the mainstream outcasts that they are.The song has more of an unsually slight 80s rock bent to the normal stoner rock sound of the band. Lead singer Sid shows off his chops though. A song about standing up to recurring bullies.

Deaf Tonics - Chameleon
Another hot album track from rock album Octane Red. The lyrics can be interpreted different ways, but is essentially a song about a guy who witnesses something really bad going on, but chooses not to get involved.

Deaf Tonics - Octane Red
This is the leadoff track off of the Deaf Tonics debut album, released in January 2025. The album had three other singles, but hoping I can generate some buzz in anticipation of the first single of their second album, to be released soon.
