So, a lot has happened recently. I got outed/blasted on Reddit, which may have been a blessing in disguise because it was free advertising, although I wasn't a big fan of the hate mail on my socials. I kinda took a step back because it was exhausting trying to defend myself on YouTube/Instagram, but people are still listening to my stuff. So, I guess I'll keep making it. Anyways, here's the most recent song I released. It's about young love and being desperate for attention/affection.

Just a stupid song I wrote about how people are dicks and assholes.

So, somebody messaged me on Instagram and told me they really liked this song, and the lyrics spoke to them. I thought that was pretty crazy, but also pretty cool. It's one of the "darker" TCG songs I've released, but still kinda hits that pop punk/emo vibe. I decided to do a video for it. I wrote this song when I was feeling particularly vulnerable about several different things in my life, and "The Light" is meant as a juxtaposition between two outcomes. One is lifting yourself out of the darkness toward the light, and the other is embracing the end - the light at the end of the tunnel, the moth toward the flame.

So, unexpected twist. My album is blowing up on Spotify. Of course, "blowing up" is a relative term, and I'm not exactly hitting Taylor Swift numbers. But I'm hovering around 500 monthly listeners, and I have a handful of songs getting hundreds of streams. I'm in a state of disbelief, but also curious to see where it goes from here. Already Ready Already is the most popular song, but this one is a close second.

So, interesting conundrum here. I put one track on this "album" with a female vocalist. And guess what? It's the most popular song based on analytics. What's even funnier is it's a purely AI vocalist, where as the songs with a male vocalist are based off of my own voice. 😶 So, what do y'all think? More female songs? 🤣

So, I can't say that I honestly set out to write a 7-minute epic alt-rock/pop punk song, but it just kept evolving into this monstrosity. Ultimately, it turned out to be one of my favorite tracks, so I had to keep it. I haven't had any good ideas for a video yet, but I wanted to share the song.

This track is not yet available on Spotify. It will be released on the first album later this month (August 29th). But, I put together a music video for it. It's a tongue-in-cheek twist on the clichéd pop punk meet-cute song, and the story kinda devolves into chaos.

This is one of the earliest songs I wrote and created on Suno, and then I just recently remixed/remastered it with Suno 4.5+ and tools on Bandlab. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. Originally, it had more of a whiny/angsty teenage voice, but I changed up the persona to my new pop punk outfit, and then I also reworked the bridge to bring it full circle and make it more retrospective from an adult point of view. The only problem is that it might be too catchy because my five-year-old won't stop singing it, and he doesn't fully understand what it's about.

So, Suno is doing a contest because one of their most-streamed users, ImOliver, signed a record deal. That in itself is pretty interesting/noteworthy. They are holding a contest where you submit a Remix of his song. I had never heard of the guy, and I didn't know his song, but I was playing around with it for the hell of it. And, wow, I was pretty impressed with how this turned out. It's obviously much different because I have the pop punk/emo sound, but it actually kinda works. You kinda have to listen to his version first to appreciate mine.

Here's the second song for my pop punk band. It's kind of a modern day working man's anthem. 🤣
